My favorite short story would be "Tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe. It is about a young man who lives with an old man, that has a "vulture eye." The eye scared the young man, and drove him crazy, eventually leading him to kill the old man. The police came the next day, because neighbors heard a scream that came from the house. The police didn't find the old man, so the young man was very confident. All of a sudden, he thinks he hears the old man's heart beat, making him go crazy. He eventually feels so guilty that he confesses to the police that he killed the old man.

I really liked this story. It was suspenseful, which made the story very interesting. "Tell Tale Heart" was one of those stories that would keep you at the edge of your seat, without falling off though. I'm sure anyone would think that "Tell Tale Heart" was a really nice short story. It might be the best one I've read so far!

The story i liked the most is tell-tale-heart. I liked this story best out of lady or the tiger, sonata, and the interlopers. I thimk it was the best story because I liken Edgar Allen Poe and I like suspense. so thats my favorite story.

I liked this story because it has suspense. Also it shows how powerful guilt is. Also I think its funny how a man has a vulture eye. Another thing I like is how the man is trying to explain how he is not crazy. SO thats what I think about this story.

The reason i like this story is because the other stories arent like this one. This story is about a man who likes this man but hates his eye. his eyeis verywierd, it is like bulging out of his sockets and it is disgusting. So every nightfor a week he tries to catch the old mans eye open. And so he has to kill him,and cut off his arms and legs and put him in a floor board. Then the cops came and the young man thinks he hears someone put itshis mind and he admits what he did and gets arrested.

My favorite story was the 'Lady or the Tiger' story. In that story, it takes place at an old time with a semi-babrbaric king, with his semi-barbaric daughter, the princess. One day the king caught the princess loving a normal man. The king, in anger sent him to the arena. In the arena a man is accused of a crime. Therefor he will have ti open 1 of 2 doors. In one door there is a tiger waiting hungry, waiting to eat the man. On the other door there is a buitiful young woman to marry the man, and he is accused of not doing the crim. So if he gets the tiger the tiger will kill and eat him alive, while on the other he gets married. The crowd loves all the drama in thae arena. Even if the man is already married, then he will still become married to the woman.

I liked this story because of the violence and confusion. The crowd loves to watch these events, but this time it was a young good looking man. Aloso the princess was shocked that he had to do that and she didnt want him to die. In theat case she tilted her hand to the right slightly, to tell the man to go and open the right door. This story is a cliffhanger so no one knows the real ending. Thats why this is my favorite story. :)

My favorite short story was the "Interlopers". In that story there were two men named Ulrich and Gerog whose great grandfaters, grandfathers and fathers fought. Their families have fought for generations. But, the feud between these two men was more peronsonal, they were fighting for the forest that was in between their houses. They went to court and it was decided that that Ulrich owned the forest. On a cold snowy night Ulrich decided to go hunt Georg and Georg decided to go hunt Ulrich. They met eachother and waited for someone to say something snobby to the other one until they shot eachother. Unexpectedly, a tree fell on top of them. Since, they were faced with death they apologized to each other and told eachother that they wouldn't fight anymore. They both called for help TOGETHER and they yelled so loudly that a pack of wolves heard them and came running toward them. They got eaten by the wolves.

The "Interlopers" was my favorite short story for various reasons. For one thing it teaches a huge lesson. It teaches to keep your friends close, but your enemies closer or you can be faced with something as tragic as death. Another reason why it is my favorite story is because the story was kind of suspicious. While they were both under the tree you are always wondering what is going to happen next or are they going to die. Lastly, it had a shocking ending. No one would really suspect that they become friends right before they get eaten by wolves.

We have read four short stories. out of all the stories, my favorite was "Tell-Tale Heart." This story was suspensful, and it was also horror. This story was written by Edgar Allen Poe in the 1800s. The characters are the old man, the man, and the police.

The story is about a crazy man who commited a murder. the man was a servent for an old man, whom he liked. The only problem was the old man's "volture eye". The man couldn't take it, and planned to murder the old man. The man waited 8 nights until he saw the eye open, and he ran in and killed the old man. After the old man was dead, he cut him up into pieces, and stuffed him under the floor board. Then the police arrived, and he let them inspect the house. Then out of no where he heard a heart beating faster and faster every moment. he feared that the cops might here it and he ossumed it was the old man's heart beating. He yelled the body is under the floor board!, and told the cops where the body was.

"The Sonata for Harp and Bicycle," by Joan Aiken was my favorie short story. It was a love story about Ms. Bernice Golden and Mr. Jason Ashgrove. There was a curse in the Grimes Building where they work and jason was just itchin' to find out what it was. One night he stayed at the Grimes Building late and then did acctually find out what the curse was. Ms.Golden was very sympathetic about how he was to die in five days. They figured out a way to break the curse. The man who caused it had a love wreck and they were going to fix it. Golden and Ashgrove fixed the ghostly love and kept a love of their own because Jason never died.

This story was my favorite for many reasons. First, Joan Aiken caught every perspective of this story. Also, she made the story suspenseful and left you wanting more. The thing that caugght my attention the most was when Ms.Ollinick told us that it was going to be a love story. Finally, the fact that two ghosts and two people were in love and got to have eachother forever was so sweet. In conclusion, this is why "the Sonata for Harp and Bicycle," by Joan Aiken is my favorite short story.

To me the best short story that I have must be, Tell-Tale-Heart by, Edgar Allen Poe In the story a young man is caring for an old man. But, the old man has a weird left eye (live a volture eye) and the young man thinks it is "evil" so he decides to take the old mans life, to get rid of the horrible eye. So, he is nice to him the week before he kills him, and for 7 nights he watches him sleep, until his eye opens then it is time for him to die. But on the 8th night his eye opens and he kills the old man by, sufficating him with a matress. Then, he cuts up the body in the bathtub, and hides the body under the floorboard. But, the police come and he lets them search the house, soon he hears a beat, over and over. he thinks it is the old mans heart so he confesses. But, it was really his heart (he was guilty) Well, there a lot of reasons why I liked this story. One is the suspence, and the horror in this short story. Another, is the genius in the story, like the way the young man despses of the body in the bathtub is very smart for a mad man. And the most important reason why I love this story is the theme. It is very important, it is "guilt is a very powerful thing" and it is true. Many people have that experiance. I did and I know that should have too. Those are some reasons why I liked this short story.

From all of the stories my favorite was "The Lady or the Tiger?" To begin with,it is my favorite because at the end it leaves you thinking of what might happen next. That is called a cliff hanger. Next, to that story everyone in class got to opinion what would come out;either the lady or the tiger. Just to tell you in my opinion was that both came out. long story... To end with, I like the way that the author wrote the story because he is very detailed ,and clear to the message he is trying to tell you. All four stories were interesting. The first story I will start with is "the lady or the tiger". It taught me that the choices you make usually express whoyou are or your personality. In the "Interlopers" my opinion on it was that they both deserved to die because they didn't respect each other since the beginning. Also, In "Sanata of Harp and Bicycle it showed me that no matter what the ghost love could never be separated. Lastly, "The Tell Tale Heart" is a random story. I say that because the man could have gotten away with it, but he felt to worried and said the truth.

My favorte short story is the Interloper.It is a great I like it becase it is all about two family who hate each other because the want to have the forest all to them self.Georg want the forest but Ulrich will not make it easy for him to get it.By law it is Ulrich land not Georg.
This is my favorte short story because Ulrich gose on the forest to see if Georg is their in his forest.They find each other and they cant shout until one make a joke or makes fun of them.They get stuck because a tree fell on them .They become friends.They both wish their men came first.They see something and they call them they come and they are wolves not their men.At the end the both get eating by wolves

In one there would be a very hungry tiger and in the other there would be a beautiful lady. if he choose the tiger every one would think he was guilty and he would die. If he chooses the lady then everyone would think he was innocent and he would be married. The princees was very upset because she didn't want the man she loved to die, but she didn't want the man she loved to be happy with another woman. o he looked up at her with wide eyes so she knew he was asking her which door to pick. So she lifed up her right hand just a little. So the yopung man went to the door on the right and opened it. That's the end of the story. I liked it because I love stories that leave you wondering. My favorite story was, "The Lady or the Tiger". In, "The lady or the Tiger," a young man loves a king's daughter. The king believes in poetic justice. The guilty person picks the tiger door and the innocent person picks the lady door. The young man must go to the king's arena and decide his own faith by picking a door. The young man stands in the arena, with two doors next to him, and his princess watching him. The princess wants to tell her lover what door is best for him but, she can't. It is time. The princess slightly moves her right hand. The man follows the directions from the princess. We the readers, do not know the door that the young man chose.
“The Lady or the Tiger,” is my favorite story. The story is romantic because, the man and the princess are in love. The story is very thrilling because of the choices the young man must make. The story is suspenseful. I wanted to find out what happened next, so I was constantly anticipating the next sentence. The story is told in third person, omniscient. (Which means all knowing.) The conflict is man verse man, and man verse self. The man does not know which door to pick because both of the doors are not good. I really recommend this story. It is great!

I have read many short stories but there is one that stands out to me the most and it is my favorite short storie. It is called the The Interlopers you will love it and you will see why it will make you realize set a side your differnces and become friends.

The Intrelopers was my favorite short storie becuase It is something that I can I relate to which is a family feud. The storie was so fantastic It was also so understandable. There are two main characters named George and Ulrich at the beging they were fighting like crazy. At the end they becmae friends but then sadly died. You should read The Interlopers is a great short storie yOU should read it.

Out of all the short stories I have read in my class "Sonata For Harp And Bicycle" by Joan Aiken, was my favorite. This suspenseful love is about a new guy at this job. His name was Jason Ashgrove and he was very curious about the job and building he worked in. He wondered why everyday everyone left so early to go home, leaving 5 o'clock exact. One day he was thinking about it so he asked his secretary, Miss.Golden. She only gave him random clues. Although, he couldn't make out what she was saying since it was so loud and they were going down the stairs. Still extremely curious, Jason decided to sneak inside that night. Once the whole building was completely deserted he snook in through the fire escape. Although after a couple minutes he was terrified when seeing a ghost with a bicycle. Managing to get out he escaped from the fire escape. Telling Miss.Golden the next day she then explained to him the sad love tale of the building and he found out he had a curse. That night they went there and broke the curse, fixing everything. Jason and Miss.Golden grew very close from that night and ended up falling deeply in love.

This is my favorite short story because of its suspense. Also because of the sad twisted love story in it that they mentioned. I like the story mostly for its great detail they used in almost every sentence. If you like short stories that have great suspense in every paragraph and romance I totally recommend reading this.

My favorite short story is Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart". It was a great short story to read. It was about a man who despised another man's eye and how his guilt took over him so he confessed. I think that anyone could read this story and enjoy it.

In my literacy class we read a short story that was named "Sonata for harp and bicycle". This was one of my favorite short stories. This story was a love story it also had ghosts. This story started with a man that worked at a building that they all had to leave before 5 p.m. The man started flirting with a woman; she has worked in the building that has worked there for a long time. The man was so curious that he snuck into the building after 5 p.m. When he entered the building from an open window he heard the dinging of a bicycle bell and, the beautiful music of a harp. The next day he went back to work he was pale and had white hair the woman said that he was cursed at the end of the story the two ghost meet and they fall in love with each other.
This was one of my favorite short stories because it was romantic and suspensful.The love between phantoms and humans was amazing. The parts of the short stories I liked the most was when the man and the woman parachuted off the building and kissed in mid air. I also liked when the man and the woman brought the ghost together.
