Jana Craig Hare, MSEd, is Associate Director for Advanced Learning Technologies in Education Consortium (ALTEC) at the University of Kansas. Jana is a former secondary teacher, who has also served as a technology integration facilitator, PreK-12 Educational Technology Coordinator and State Educational Technology Director. With 17 years experience in education, she brings the classroom perspective to implementing technology with school improvement, including best practices in research-based instructional strategies and technology integration. She is currently the Project Leader for an Instructional Coaching grant as well as providing support to the state-wide Technology Rich Classroom initiative in Kansas.
Jana is currently pursuing a PhD program in Curriculum & Teaching, with a minor in Program Evaluation. She has been an adjunct professor, teaching technology integration classes for preservice and inservice teachers. On the professional level, Jana is a LoTi certified National Trainer, a Master Teacher for the Intel® Teach Program Essentials Course and Thinking with Technology Course, and a Master Leader for the Leadership Forum. Most recently, she was recognized by NSBA as “20 to Watch” in the Educational Technology field.

 

Dr. Kari Stubbs is the Director of Professional Development for ePals, Inc. In November, 2007 she was recognized by the National School Boards Association as one of “20 to Watch” rising leaders in the field of educational technology. She is also a recipient of the Making it Happen Award, in a LoTi certified National Trainer and was the National Teacher Training Institute Teacher of the Year in 1997.
Dr. Kari Stubbs earned her PhD in Curriculum from the University of Kansas, where she received a graduate fellowship. She was also recognized as a P.E.O. Scholar. Dr. Stubbs has worked with the University of Kansas, ePals, ALTEC, Baker University, Blue Valley School District, and Kansas City Public Television. Her career highlights include presentations at national and regional conferences, such as NECC, NSBA T+L, NSDC, National Association of Elementary School Principals, Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education, Kansas Annual Conference, and Mid America Computers in Education. She was the senior project coordinator of the Title IID initiative in Kansas.

Amber Rowland, MSEd is a Senior Project Manager for the Advanced Learning Technologies in Education Consortium (ALTEC) at the University of Kansas and is currently teaching enrichment programs at the elementary and middle school level via interactive distance learning. She is seeking a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Instructional Technology and Cognitive Psychology. She provides technical professional development support for K-12 teachers and higher education faculty and staff, serves as a professional development provider and project manager for a Title IID school-based initiative in Kansas, is a LoTi National Trainer and an Intel Master Teacher. She travels to local, state and national conferences training teachers on Project Based Learning, 4teacher tools, video conferencing and the general integration of technology in education. Previous conference presentations for this trio include: NECC, NSBA T+L, Mid America Computers in Education, Kansas State Technology Conference, FETC, and Kansas State Department of Education Annual Conference.
