Web Mastering Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This web mastering class is intended to give the students a broad range of technical skills used in web design. The tutorials contained within the class calendar will be used for hands on mastery of the software’s used to construct web pages. The projects will require the students to use their technical skills learned to create several different types of web sites incorporating different types of practices and media in each site built.

The class will begin with learning the fundamentals of writing html which will be used in the creation of personal web sites. Afterwards, Photoshop will be incorporated for text effects, graphics, and images. Dreamweaver CS3, which is the industry standard web authoring software, will be used to create and maintain school organization or school sponsored web sites. Lastly, Flash CS3 will be utilized not only to build a web site for a locally owned business but also to incorporate animation and sound in conjunction with other web authoring software.
