Happy New Year!
Submitted by mrsguzman on Mon, 2009-01-05 11:26. PublicWelcome Back!
I hope you all had a lovely Winter Break and are ready to start a new year! I had a wonderful first Christmas with my husband. I hope you were able to have some good, fun family time, as well. In the new year, we are going to have a bit more homework and really focus on reaching our goals for this school year. Students, remember that we have high expectations of you because we know you can achieve great things. Come to school ready to learn each day! Parents, please continue to help support your amazing kids in doing their homework and being prepared for each school day. Thanks for all of your hard work!
Personal Narratives

Lucky
By Lauren
I was in my garage, my chin perched heavily on my hand. I still could not get over the loss of my old kitten (which was at a new home, her name was Tat). I was confused at the same time for a different kitten named Lucky randomly disappearing and I could not find my beloved kitten. From the door leading to our backyard my dad said at an unexpected moment, “Lauren, quickly!” was his intent whisper in a hushed voice. I carefully but quickly rose from my chair, getting the message, and crept into the blackness of the backyard before me. Further into the darkness when I stepped onto a small porch in front of my dad's blue work shed I heard a small meow.
