High School student Chance Taylor is no normal kid. His mother left when he was young and he lives on a boat with his dad. Chance’s Dad is a war veteran, who served in the Vietnam War. Chance is pressured at school but more importantly he is worried about how he and his dad will afford dinner. This changes one day when he meets a strange man who has mysteriously noticed Chance’s running track he follows every day. Chance soon gets a job delivering bizarre packages filled with material he cannot look at, but he questions if he should be doing this, although it allows him to eat. Soon he is required to bring the packages to his own home, and he becomes suspicious and cannot trust anyone anymore. All he knows is the pay is good, but not the price he will pay is even greater.

Imagine having one special talent that you can claim as your own and once people get intimidated, you can never use it again. Imagine spending your whole entire life living up to a certain title and having that name stripped away from you. Imagine having a best friend who turns on you without caring.
Imagine being a teenage Princess in the medieval times thrown from your civilized life and having to fend for yourself in the harsh world. This is what Crown Princess Anidori-Kiladra Talianna Isilee of Kindlenree’s (or Ani’s) life is like.
