Christian knows that falling in love with Princess Marigold is a foolish dream; he lives in a cave with a troll! For a boy who has lived in the same forest for 11 years, marrying a princess seems highly unlikely. Things maybe looking up, however, when Christian gets a job at the castle as a servant.

He then learns that the evil Queen Olympia is planning to overthrow Princess Marigold and her father, and it's up to him and Marigold to stop her.Unfortunately, there is also a suitor involved, who soon becomes Marigold’s fiancé. Now Christian needs to get rid of the queen, stop the fiancé, and save himself from certain death. The fact that the princess has a curse, adds another twist.

I liked this book a lot, as it was a really good mix of comedy and love story. I liked that it wasn’t just about Christian and Marigold, but it also had other characters. The plot was amazing, and it’s the kind of book that once you start, you have to finish. It’s both an old-fashioned fairy tale, and a more modern comedy.
