Danny Walker, an eleven-year-old boy, tries out for his travel basketball team. He doesn’t make it because of his size. His father was also on the same travel team and was also small. However, his father ended up making the team, despite his size. He later made it to the pros. Danny’s father got in a car accident and doesn’t play in anymore. Will this setback in not making the travel team end Danny’s love for the Game? Will his father have a solution of what to do? Can Danny show the travel team that size isn’t everything?

Imagine trying out for a sport you love and not making it because you’re too small. Danny goes to a private school and most of the kids on the travel team are from public schools. Danny finds out that none of the kids from the private school made it. Can Danny and the other kids get a second shot? Or will they just give up? Little does Danny know that things in the end turn out exactly the opposite as planned?

I would personally recommend this book for real sports fans, and for kids who love basketball. I loved this book and was hooked to it because it was very interesting in finding out what decisions Danny makes and what happens to the team.
