Welcome

Yes, another school year is upon us.  My personal goal for my classes is to expand every student’s technology capabilities while I guide them through their career and technology courses.  As we all know, technology is changing our lives so rapidly that you need to be able to step into the future with a good knowledge of computers and business skills.

Please feel free to contact me any time at my email address jwhite@academy.k12.tx.us or by calling 254-982-4201 during my conference time 11:31 a.m. - 12:19 a.m.

2007-2008 Courses

A brief description of my CATE courses for the year 2008-2009 are:

Business Computer Information Systems, or BCIS, is the study of the technical skills needed for the rapidly evolving global environment and to address these different emerging technologies through Microsoft Office 2007. As each student learns to utilize the various applications it will allow them the opportunity to develop a foundation of skills designed to address their changing environment.

Accounting I is the study of the accounting principals for both personal and business implementation. Throughout the year students will develop a foundation in how to employ the accounting cycle and how to practice these skills as they apply to accounting.

Accounting II is the study of the accounting principals needed to make a smooth transition to the workforce and/or post secondary education. Students will expand their basic accounting concepts into an understanding of the performance of advanced accounting procedures.
