It was a beautiful day and a wonderful end to my trip. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday. If I didn’t make it to your location I am sorry. Philly is a huge city and I wish I had another week to explore, but thanks to all who blogged and recommended sites.

In my travels this week I had heard of a medical museum that housed some very odd things.  I decided it was early in the day and went to check it out.  The Mutter Museum definitely as some unusual specimens including many skulls, walls covered in yellow fever information (remember Philadelphia was where the huge epidemic hit), and lots of preserved organs for medical study.

Monday night we went to Cuba Libre, which was delicious.  I can’t believe how much I loved everything.  Ashli, great suggestion.  We walked into the dimly lit restaurant and Caribbean music was playing softly.  The host walked us to a table by the window.  When we first arrived I ordered the mint lemonade, which had fresh crushed mint leaves and cane sugar for sweetener.  This was refreshing and greatly needed after the long walk.  Our server brought out bread with sweet mango butter.  I have to say I could have just eaten the butter.  It was so yummy!  

I decided for the sake of education to try the passport to Cuba for dinner.  This meal includes three courses made up of fifteen sampler dishes the chef chooses.  I hope you appreciate the hard work and torture I am going through for you ☺

Everything turns black.

You see a bright light.

The angels are singing.

The gate is opened.

You sit on a cloud

A angel floats over to you and asks if you would follow him.

you go through a door and the angel leaves you alone.

you step forward and fall.

then you land on your hospital bed
