Your Words Are Being Read...

For the first quarter of the school year, I have been attending Mr. Phillips classroom which is quite a step from the classroom that I was in last year. Since I have been attending Mr. Phillips classroom I think that I have matured in almost everything involved within the classroom. Such as responsibility, character, honesty, and most importantly respect. Mr. Phillips is a great teacher to teach anyone these things which are all life skills in everyone’s life. In Mr. Phillips’ classroom you have to complete every day assessments, like always, a blog, which he usually assigns to us on a weekly basis, and maybe even a peace poster, like we are doing this week. All of these things prepare all of the students in his class for the future. The blog, for example, is an exercise for us that will critique our writing skill and let us know what is out there in the real world. In Mr. Phillips’ room all eight of us laptops that Mr. Phillips uses to teach us about technology, which is obviously becoming a huge part of our future because if we can’t work a computer then we most likely won’t get a job because nowadays all jobs are based on the computer. Also a computer is handy to an individual because if you can use a computer and know everything about then it will be a lot easier than looking in a book, writing in pencil and maybe even having to ask someone. With technology, you can just open up your web browser and search something on the internet it’s that easy. In Mr. Phillips room he has also taught a very valuable life lesson that has stuck with me lately and I have come to very many obstacles that challenge this life lesson. The lesson is, don’t just get it done, get it done with the best of your ability. And since he has told me this I will always remember it and it will stick with me for the rest of my life and so will all the life lessons that I have learned.

The things I think are important for people to know is to get all thing you are assigned to do it as soon as possible not at the time it is due trust me I know from experience and if you don’t you won’t get it done well. There is a difference of getting it done and getting it done well. Getting it done is just rushing threw what ever you are doing. Getting it done well means you are not just getting it done you is also making sure you have done what was required and maybe even more than was required.

Another thing to know is when you are gone and you had work or school to ask the teacher or boss what had been done so you can get those things done so you can not get a bad grade or be fired. This is a thing that I have learned this year so was the thing about getting the assignment done well. As I grow up  I learn more and more each day about some thing new I never knew and I get older I will learn more about any thing and I think that as you get older you will get smarter.

 Some things that I like are; my favorite NFL team is the Miami Dolphins, my favorite college is the BYU Cougars and I want to go to BYU for college and than be drafted into the NFL. After the NFL I want to just stay home and maybe go into the Air Force National Guard like my dad, my favorite type of music is rock, my favorite band is AC/DC, my favorite TV show is Wild and Out. That is some stuff that I like and I have got the information from me.

  I think that it is important that people learn and read about people that are organized. I think that is important that people should always be organized because if you are not organized you will probably never have a steady job. I think that is also important that people make sure that they get all of there assignments done so you don’t get fired from your job because if you don’t have something  done and your boss asks you for it and it not don’t what do you think he is going to stay? It is also in a way a life skill I think because it will help those people who are organized and get their work done on time are going to do well in life and for the other people it is going to be a struggle. I think that is good that kids of all ages to have somewhat of a hard teacher because if you don’t have a hard teacher to keep on trying to get you students organized and stuff then who are you going to learn it from. This year I am in the 7^th grade and last year I had Mrs. Stitt for my teacher and this year I have Mr. Phillips as my teacher and he is a vary good teacher and is a big step from Mrs. Stitts class. I am kind of struggling this year with my grades; I need to spend more time on homework and class work instead of playing outside at recess with my friends. I also think it is very good that Mr. Phillips makes us read AR and it counts for half of our reading grade for that quarter. I think it is good to have a large variety of materials that you read.  

I am going to talk about Stock saddle bronc riding. That is a very fun sport it is just like regular saddle bronc but you get to use the saddle you ride everyday and you get to hold one to you rope and you can let go and get a grip again, and you have to dress up when you do it so you have to where something funny or do something funny. Some guys will put tie a doll on there back or some will dress up like Zorro and have a sword and everything like that it is a very good sport to get into. But if you are scared to get banged around and don't want to get hurt this isn't the sport for you. In this sport if your horse falls down you have to ride him up or you wont get a score. It is like any other ruff stock event you have to ride them for eight seconds. If your horse falls down as soon as the whistle blows you still have to ride him up to get a score. I am 14 right now and in the spring I will turn 15 and that when I will start ride too. I will ride at all the ranch rodeos and hopefully I will be good enough to ride right her in town at this rodeo.

In my opinion I think that it is important for people to plan out their future in school and for a career. If people plan for the future in school and for a career, they will be paying a lot more attention in school and trying to get better grades. If we were to talk about grades per-say then I would not be at the top of the food chain when it comes to grades, just to use that as an example. If I studied more and if I tried more in my study's and in school, I think that I would have a better chances getting into a good college and getting my applications for a job, not only that, but I would do much better at that job and be making a very successful carrier out of that job. I think sense I'm talking about jobs, I need to talk to you about the job's that I'm thinking of. The first job I'm thinking of is to become a professional motorcycle mechanic. I would have to get into a college for 2 year vocational school, and then get my application for MMI. My Second job would be to become a cartoon creater. I would have to go to an Art university for 2 years in a associates program and then I would have to fill out my application to become a cartoon creater (or a cartoonist). Some of the things that are important to me are family, friends, and most importantly, school. Some of the lessons that I have learned in school this year are, to get your assignments done on time, to behave and not be walking around and goofing off, and do your daily duties, if you don’t you will have to pull a card. My family is important to me because I love them and if they weren’t here I wouldn’t be here and some day they may not be here when I’m here so I want to be with them while I can. My friends are important to me because without them I would get lonely and I wouldn’t get to have as much fun as I do during the weekends and summer. Another one of things that are important to me is 4-H; 4-H gives you a sense of responsibility, character and it is a great life lesson. The projects that I enjoy taking are Horse and Swine. And one more of the many important things to me are sports, the three sports I enjoy playing are basket ball, football, and volleyball. Soccer is my least favorite sport and then basket ball. I play basket ball, but it’s not my favorite sport, I also enjoy playing touch football at recess with my friends, but my favorite sport ever is volleyball, if I could play it 24/7 I would, that’s how much I’m dedicated to it. My family and I were learning how to cut up a beef this weekend. I learned a lot, and it was actually pretty fun. My dad has been cutting up meat for over forty years, but he didn't know how to do it really well. So, we decided to use the certified manual that our family friend donated to us and do it ourselves since we weren't satisfied with the professional butchers in our area. This book is called Basic Butchering of Livestock and Game by John J. Mettler, Jr. It is a reader's digest version on how to butcher beef, veal, pork, lamb, poultry, rabbit, and venison. We went and got the front quarters of our beef and cut them up. His name was Jethro II. We cut up ribs, the brisket, and got hamburger and stew meat. There is a bunch of cuts dad didn't know about, so he made them into ground round and a bunch of stew meat. By the way, my dad loves stew meat. We trimmed the meat and ground it up. My job was to grind up the meat into ground round. Ground round is hamburger, but with a lot less fat. We wrapped up all of the cuts and ground round in freezer wrapping paper, and put them in the freezer. The book walked us through most of it. Now that was where the work began. Cleanup. We had to clean off all of the knives, clean the tables, clean off and take out the meat block, and spent over thirty meticulous minutes of cleaning out the meat grinder. We bought a new freezer four hours before we started, hoping it would be functional. Our dictionary word for functional is hoping it will work. In the long run, it took longer to read the book than cut up the meat.

I think duck hunting is a really fun sport because it is a challenge to try and harvest the ducks and that is what makes it so much fun. It is a great sport but you only get to do it in fall and a little bit in winter because that is when the season opens is in fall and the season ends in the winter. I practice for duck hunting all year long with my clay pigeon thrower to try and get better. There are only certain amounts of ducks you can shoot and it depends on the type of duck how many you can shoot of that bread but still it is a lot of fun. There are two ways you can hunt a duck the first way is to go and like jump a pond which means you sneak up to the pond and what for them to fly up and shoot at them. The second way is to set up decoys at a pond or a place were you might see them coming into and what for them to come to you. Its cool because if there's a big group of them you necessarily don't need to be the best shot to kill a duck.
