KES community responses to Courtyard renovation

I just love the courtyard! I love to garden and watch the chickens peck and scratch.

I think the changes are wonderful. I really like how there is a place for the animals to play.

I love how the courtyard is looking. It has been a big success. I have had a lot of fun working out there. I think it was a good idea having students help to make the outdoors a better habbitat for the animals.

I really love to go out to the court yard and see all the new stuff. It's really fun to help and fun to learn in. I can't remember what the court yard look before it was redesigned! My favorite part of going out there is seeing the little chickens run to me. Yeah, and they think I have food. My favorite THING is the pond and the long logs standing up at the opposite side of the pond. It looks really good now. So much better than the old one. Every time I see it, it makes me :-).

I think we should get a cave or rock for the rabbits to go under for shade or other reasons.So far the courtyard is looking great but it could always be better!I also think we could have a bridge maybr for decoration! :) >:) :D >:D !!!

In the courtyard, when I work, I like to do the hose. Cause your all like ssssssssssst and everything besides the animals is getting all wet.

I like to sort rooks from the grass and dump the rook from the
wheelbarrow in the empty spot of the courtyard.

I think we need to add some vines,a small henhouse,a chameleoms,and a small cleff. I LOVE THE COURTYARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in Mrs.Jones class.My class "hached" chickens.It took 21 days.We let the rabbits out in the courtyard on most days.We wrote advertiesments about the courtyard.I am coming to the courtyard to help from now on.it will be fun.I love the courtyard,and I hope you love this comment too.See you at the courtyard!

I am a third grade teacher and one of the people that has felt this program is so important. I am on the grant committee that started this project. I have always had lots of animals in my room and each year I hatch birds in my room. This year we hatched 2 rounds of chickens. We also had a litter of rabbits. We have a sweet female rabbit as a pet and she had four cute bunnies. It was a great experience to watch her nuture and care for her babies.
I have always felt that having nature in my classroom made coming to school exciting. Everyone in my class takes turns with taking care of, feeding, and watering the animals. I assign each animal to a certain student and it is their job to watch over them for the week. The students take their jobs very serious and we talk about the huge responsibility of doing a good job.
The courtyard has been a wonderful place for the rabbits to run around outside. Their is no way for them to get out or anything to get in to hurt them. They love being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine. So do the chickens!
Kyle Elementary has many areas that would make wonderful learning environments. Our grants have enabled us to "start the balling running" at this campus and I am so excited about what is going to come with our nature projects. Thank you for all the ones that have supported and been involved in this project! It makes coming to work fun for me!!!

ABOUT THE COURTYARD.

The courtyard is full of habitatts like animals and plants. My favorite animal in the courtyard is the hedghog these animalals are very cute they have spikes on their backs. And my favorite plant is the spider plant this plant is cool it kinda looks like a spider but it has more leaves as I mean legs. Mrs. Jones incubated little chicks. Even my friend took home a baby rabbit. Our courtyard animals are hedghogs,rabbits,turtles,frogs,chickens,chinchilas,and fish. Our courtyard is the best way we can learn!

Hi I am in Mrs.Jones class. You proably know that we incubated
almost all the chickens. It is alot of responsibility to take
care of animals but sometimes it can be alot of fun. Did you know that chickens take 21 days to hatch. Did you know the
last batch of chickens was in the month of Mrs.jones B-day.

In our courtyard we have chikens that we hatched in our own classroom. The secend batch of chickens that we hatched ,hatched on mrs.Jones birthday. In the courtyard the rabbits play around I bet they love the enviorment. The people that work in the courtyard have done a awsome job working on the courtyards habbitat. It makes the school a pretter place.

Hi I am in Mrs.Jones class. We had baby chickens they were so adorable it was fun to watch the chickens hatch! If you work at the courtyard it takes responsibility to put the flowers and other plants. Did you know that our last batch of chickens didn't hatch till 21 days!Did you also know that the chickens hatched on Mrs.Jones birthday! They are outside in the courtyard right now they are starting to grow! I love the courtyard.You should go to Kyle Elementary. It is so fun!

After every court yard clean-up I went to, I went home with a good feeling in my heart.Even if we are consumers we can produce a good memory that will last a lifetime.The animals like the rabbits,fish,frogs,and more, need a clean habitat just like people do.I was very fortunate to bring home a beautiful rabbit.That was very rewarding to me.The animals are very fun to wach and even more fun to play with.

I like the courtyard because the teachers worked hard.And our courtyard will look the coolest.

Me and my class incubated chickens. They hatched in 21 days we
and we have turtles, frogs, and rabbits. Our class put the chickens in the courtyard and they have so much fun out there. They look for worms and bugs and scratch around in the dirt. We put an alge eater in the pond and goldfish too. I love the courtyard!

I like to chase the bunnys.It is fun when I cach them. I also like the chichens.

I'v really had fun working at the courtyard and helping out.Im going to be really exited about when its going to be done!I can't wait till its done!It was really fun watching the chiken hatch.It was awesome!

I love the idea of the granite pathway in the courtyard.It's cool because we don't have to walk on mud all the time.It would be cool if we had frogs,turtles, and tortises in the courtyard.there habitat would be much nicer.when you see the the chickens remember...we hatched them!It took 21 days to do it.we put them in a incubator for 21 days and some didn't hatch. We did it twice too! the first time 7 hatched.The next time 4 hatched.Guess what.The catus don't have spines!It will be nice to have you at the courtyard clean-up at Kyle Elemantary school!

I think that this is a great experience for the school.Our
courtyard looks better than it used to be.Our school has made
the courtyard look beautiful.I thought that if we fixed the
courtyard then we could plant more things around our school.
There used to be no trees in the courtyard.But now our school
has planted trees and we love how the courtyard looks.I just
really like how our courtyard looks now.It is really
beautiful.

I experience how to take care of the animals and how to hold them.Ever day I experience how much they grown.Most of those chickens out there Mrs.Jone hatched chickens. I had lot of fun in the coutyard!I love all of those animals here.It is a beautiful coutyard.

The chickens incubated for 21 day in Mrs.Jones' room.She also had bunnies.There habatat is the courtyard.And goldfish,and tranchala in our classroom. Mrs. Jones' room is so cool! I love being in Mrs. Jones' room.

I LOVE TO WORK IN THE CORTYARD HELP OUT AND TAKE CAR OF THE ANIMALS THE CORTYARD IS SO FUN I ALLSO HELP THE CORTYARD DERING CALSS WORK I RILLY LOVE THE ANIMALS BECAUSE OF THE RABBITS FISH AND THE CHIKENS LET ME TUCH THEM AND I WILL DO WORK ANY TIME

I went to the courtyard and it was awsome, but those chickens go wild out there you should come every Saturday it's awsome plus you do want ice cream don't you. Remember every second counts.
