LET"S HAVE FUN
Submitted by speakup on Tue, 2007-10-02 17:06. Publicsome atmosphere from our classThe main thing when you begin to work as a teacher, is your approach to the kids and to the process of learning. They're very sensitive areas, especially when the kids are of different age as ours are. You have to find a sort of balance. Each of us, teachers ,does it in his or her own way and gives our best. But do we all succeed in that?I realised one thing: You shouldn't be just a good teacher, but also a good psychologist and a good organiser. Very early, in my first year of teaching I realised: THE MOST IMPORTANT IN ALL OF THIS IS TO HAVE FUN.

Previous Projects
Submitted by speakup on Mon, 2008-10-20 12:00. PublicIn November 2007 our students, 13 to 17 years of age had a Skype meeting with their friends from Topeka, Kanzas. Before that, we had shared a blog where our students had exchanged the information of their everyday life with their peers from Kanzas. The blogging lasted for about a month and then we agreed upon skyping. That was a real challenge for my students. I thought the conversation would last for a half an hour or so, but, to my surprise, it lasted for an hour and a half. That was the first project of that kind but hopefully there will be more of them, with other schools, of course.
The Flag Project with Brazil
Our school agreed with the English For Ever School from Santa Branca in Brazil to do the Flag project. We sent them an envelope with our flag and the meanings of the symbols and here is what we received in their envelope.

The Way We Are project
Submitted by speakup on Fri, 2008-09-26 08:20. PublicWe have just begun a new project called The Way We Are. The aim of the project is to make students from around the world closer to each other. By exchanging e-mails, students will have a closer look at evryday life of their peers, their routines, habits, likes/dislikes, their environment and culture. For the time being, we've got two partner schools; one from Colorado, USA and one from Brazil.Interested? Contact us at: speakup@epals.com.
And, if you want to see what our students learnt about their e-pals from these two countries, follow the link: http://speakup-thewayweareproject.blogspot.com

Snuggle: Snuggle arrived from Arlington, WA.
Yesterday, a guest arrived in our school. His name is Snuggle and he's a geobear Snuggle arrived well equipped. He brought a little bag, his diary and a pencil to write down his adventures in Serbia, and some gifts (a pack of sweets for the children and a little cup). He must've come by boat, since we found a little boat in the package. He also brought a postcard and some brocures about Seattle, Washington.
