Embedding Video

One of the cool things that can be done with blogs is the ability to embed videos directly into posts, thereby using yet another form of media to engage your students. To view the video, click the "Play" triangle in the center of the video window. After viewing, please add a comment regarding the video and/or how this feature will be useful with your learners. Then, please respond to the comments of a few others using the "Reply" feature.

<embed src="http://www.teachertube.com/skin-p/mediaplayer.swf" width="425" height="350" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"

Some Words of Caution...

As with any web-based activities, the fear of contact with the wrong kind of outsider always exists. One of the beauties of this blogging site is the amount of control it gives the teacher to completely lock-down the content & keep the undesirables out.

However, should you decide to open up your blog, do some personal blogging as a way of communicating with friends & family around the globe, or if you have kids or students who are blogging at home. there are some things that should be kept in mind.

Click on the "Internet Safety Tips" bar to the upper-left & review those suggestions.
