Father's Day is always on the 2nd or 3rd Sunday in June and is usually celebrated by the family spending time and/or a meal together. Father's Day cards are most often given. If you are ever in a card shop on Father's Day, or even Mother's Day in May, you will most often see many people crowded around the cards trying to find the best card for their parent. Some families honor the Father with gifts as well as a card. Our holidays are a similar to other countries Men's Day and Women's Day.

Doesn't China have a Children's Day in June? I'm sure the children in the U.S. would like to have that day celebrated here.（June 1st is the Chidren's Day in China.)

My son suggested that we all eat out on Father's day but in the end I decided to cook a good meal for my mother that day.

I'm sure the meal you cooked for your mother was delicious. What type of food did you prepare? How nice you cooked for her and I'm sure she enjoyed your meal. When you son isn't so busy studying for exams I'm sure he will cook you a good meal on Father's Day. He can learn a lot from you on what flavorful foods to prepare.

but the disaster-stricken areas people was so brave to fight against the disaster because love give them the hope to live.
The mother's and teacher's love deeply move me! A mother held her little child in her arm to protect her from getting hurt.she wrote a message in the cell-phone:my dear child ,if you surived from the earthquake,please be brave to face future life and live well.Mum loves you forever!
The teacher used his body as a shield to protect his studends and sacrificed his young life .

A 65-year-old woman carried her paralysis old husband on her back to safe.

Their daughter said that she was still in her office when the shake attacked.Then she rashed out from the office at once.But she thought of that her paralysis father was at home.Her lived on the seventh floor.Though her mother was taking care of him,her mother could not help him .She thought.So she must save her father from the house.

She hurried home at once.When she reached the third floor,she saw her mother carried her father on her back.She saw her mother sweating all over, streaming down her face,one hand was to help father and another was to holdthe railing,walking to the exit with great difficulty.Then she carried her mother in her back at once with her father in her mother's back.She also felt heavy.She did not know what power her mother got to do that. But I think we all know the answer.It was the power of love.

there were a big earthquake have happened in sichuan province at noon on 12th may this year. The earthquake was so crule that many people have lost their lives.But also ,All of the chinese people and foreigner stand by a line to support defend the earthquake and save people's lives.I believe that The people's republic of China can comeover the disaster.I heard news from the redio.A mother in save the others people's lives day and night .She have no time to care about herself's child .Even she did not know her child wether living or not .what's a great mother.I moved it.what's a touching moment.

The earthquake in Sichuan Province on May 12th saddened people all over the country.Humans are weak especially in front of nature.Facing such a disaster ,the whole nation have showed their great unity.People did their best to help those who had suffered from the devasting earthquake.Donations from all over the world were sent to the disaster areas.People from all over the world expressed their sadness and sympathy to the people in Sichuan .During the earthquake ,many many moving scenes could be seen.People risked their life to save others.The rescuers tried every way and counted every minute to save those that were buried,ignoring their own lives.Media workers Stepped into the areas to report things happened there,etc.From the earthquake ,we've learn a lot,about love,about life ,about time and about friendship.

Thanks to the people who have contributed a lot in the resue operation,our world could bocome so beautiful with so many warm-heart and generous people. I hope all people in Sichuan can return to a normal life as soon as possible......

On May 12th,the 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan,Sishuan province.It is a big disaster in China,From that day to now,There are about 60 thousand people killed in the earthquake.All of Chinese are very sad.Many people have donated money for the disaster areas.we hope that everyone can do something to help the people in Sishuan,they are our brothers and sisters.Chinese are closed united.I hope they can rebuild their homes as early as possible.

Yes,i am also moved by the TV programs.When I watched a video clip online which showed that a father had kept digging the rubble for more than 3 hours by his hands in order to find her buried daughter,who is studying in a middle school when the quake came bringing down the classroom buildings within minutes i couldn't help shedding tears .

Right now while i am writing this message,my roomate is watching another moving video post on www.tudou.com.It tells us that a man had been buried for more than 73 hours but he held out in order to be reunited with his missing wife ,who might be buried somewhere,too.Continual quakes happened now and then bringing rocks onto his back ,hurting him badly but he couldn't move because he was trapped.I was happy to know that the rescue team members succeeded in bringing him to safety.There are other true stories about numerour people who sacrificed their lives to help others--- a kindergarten teacher who died in order to save 2 kids, a 29-year-old teacher who put 3 students in his arms before the ceiling fell crashing to them, a class monitor who carried his classmate on his back ,who suffered from a heart attack during the quakes,etc,etc
Someone in CNN has accused that chinese are mobs and craven,which angered me and all the Chinese people.We chinese are brave and great,and we are proud of China and of being Chinese .Faced with this disaster,we are united,strong and firm. ---by Xuhui(kate)

In time of emergency and difficulty, you help by yourself.Because on one know where you are .Besides,confidence is important for you to be alive in the disaster. But aids from all over the country and many many other countries have played a vital role in the aftermath.We are grateful to all those that have offered help and assistance.

Yes, I feel the suffering from this horrible tragedy. I read the article from the link you shared and I am so moved by the brave people who gave their lives for others. I was deeply touched to learn about the young adult teachers who could have left the first floor of their school building and saved themselves but, instead, went further up in their building to find children to save. When I read about the young man, Tang Hong, who could have saved himself but used his body as a shield to protect his young students from harm, losing his life in the process, it brought tears to my eyes. What a truly great man. He is a hero. There are other Chinese heroes, too, in this time of grief. I'm just sorry it takes a tragedy to show the greatness of people.

Yesterday is history,today is a gift.All will be better soon.the China's government is trying its best to save the people in Sichuan and people from all over the country and oversea are helping to them.I think these can lessen their pressure there.....

As you known,the devastating earthquake happened in Wenchun has caused many people die.And the lastest total number is 67183.That's very terrible for us.I always feel that I can not do anything but praying for them.Our government set the date from 19th to 21th,May as mourning day.All the chinese people mourned for the death for 3 minutes(from 2:28 to 2:31).
Through the earthquake,I can really understand that life is very fragile and we should treature every minutes in our life.At the same time we believe that we can rebuild the houses,hospitals,shools,and cities,because we have recieved many aids from all sides and all the chinese people are together.There is no doubt that Wenchun will become a new beautiful city in the future.

Yes,I believe we Chinese people are brave.There is another brave person I want to tell you.She ia a mother of a baby who is only a few months old.The mother kneeled on the ground and her body was bent so that there is a space between her body and the ground.She put her baby in the space,and there is a phone in the baby's pocket with an unsent message:My child,if you can survive,you must live with a strong will.Please remember that mama loves you forever.

Now,more than 65,000people were dying from earthquake.Nobaby know this number whether it will add or not . You know ,so many people died in this earthquake in west of China where must be recovered and need for a long time.But ,rebuild home is one thing ,how to rebuild scars is another thing. It is important to cure the heart that hurt in this disaster.
If the earthquake didn’t happen, I wouldn’t feel sad. This event let me know how vulnerable the life is,and so long the sadness we need standing. Many families disappear so quickly and many people become the homeless overnight. There is no sign ,still less precaution be made. Thousands of people died, the cruel conditions make other people have no courage to see.
Maybe,this is my badly time I haven’t met before. The news and sad pictures constantly get around from the disaster-area. I know I can do little for them., I have no idea. Although I am an man.
Can We feel that scar when the children can't find their mather and father in a twinkling ? we are luck ,but actually we aren't luck at all......
