Benefits of ePals Projects

Hello Amber,
Thank you for writing. I have outlined many of the wonderful benefits of having an ePal exchange in my ePal Boston Conference Presentation that is available for you to see in the right margin of this blog page. Please click on "Presentation Link" and the PowerPoint on my ePal Collaboration Project will be available for you to download and save or just to preview it. This has the most complete information on my epal project where my students exchanged email letters. You can also see the Podcast from the "Future in Review" on the right margin of this blog page. I explain how beneficial having epals had been for my students, there, too. I did my master's degree on the benefits and through research showed that students became more culturally sensitive, but there are many more advantages than just this. I explain my entire program and all the benefits at the CUE Conference at Palm Springs and I was recorded during my presentation. You can see the presenation at this link: http://henry.sandi.net/staff/cpauchni/pals0506.html

I have also created a Literature Blog page you can view from the left margin of this blog page. This explains how epals can benefit English classes reading literature.

Let me know if any of these links don't open up for you and I will be happy to email you these things directly. I would need to have your email address for this.

Thanks again for writing,
Candace Pauchnick
