Dear Yoav,
My name is David Pike, but everyone calls me Pikelet. I am turning twelve in June. I am a boy born in Manly near Sydney, Australia. I lived in Manly for seven years and then I moved up to Hallidays Point on the East Coast of Australia which is three hours away from Sydney.
Some of my favourite things to do is fishing on our boat and playing cricket at school with my friends. My friends are David Sweeney and Jarrad Walton. I have one sister called Kimberley, my dads name is Grant and my mums name is Emma. Our family has lots of pets including six horses, two dogs, two cats and one bird. Our house is fairly big because we have twenty-five acres.
One time when I went fishing with my dad I caught two sharks. One shark was a hammer-head about a metre and a half long and a whaler shark about a metre long. Last year I went on a cruise on the Pacific Dawn which was HUGE boat. On the holiday we went to Vanuatu and Isle of Pines which is an island near Australia. It was AWESOME.
I enjoy playing sport. My two Favourite sports to play are touch football and cricket. I also play tennis on Friday afternoon.
My school is Hallidays Point Public School and my teacher is Mrs Mahar. Mrs Mahar is a nice teacher. The high school I will probably be going to is Great Lakes Junior Campus.
