Collaboration with Wilmington, NC

    Thanks for your reply. I go to Saint Mary it's a Catholic school and I have been going here since preschool. Its pre-k through 8th grade so next year I will be going to public high school.I really like my school and don't want to graduate.My school is really old to it was it's like 138 years old. We have basketball, tennis, lacrosse, Science Olympiad,and  volleyball teams. It's a pretty small school with around 200 students so
I know alot of people here and It's cool.

Hello from America, Bar!

My teacher told me that today's e-mail was supposed to be about our school. But in my first e-mail I already told you a lot about it, so I will tell you more about my school and more about me in this e-mail!

Something I forgot to mention about myself in my last e-mail is that I love to read! J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite author. He wrote The Lord of the Rings, which are now major movies, and many other awesome books. How about you? Do you like to read?

What is your favorite color? I have a hard time picking one favorite one, but I really like sapphire and pale blue.

Do you have a big family? I am the oldest of four siblings, I have two little brothers and one little sister.

Now, more about my school. My school is 139 years old. St. Mary Catholic School is St. Mary Catholic Church's school. Wilmington, the city that I live in, was going to be the capital and St. Mary Church was going to be the bishop's main church, so they built it really beautifully and very big. It has huge stain glass windows and a huge marble altar. But they decided to move the capital to Raleigh, our state's capital that is about two hours away. The church was turned into a Basilica a couple of years ago though, so many people like to come to see it. What about your school?

Hello! Nice to meet you. I'm Dana from Israel and I'm 14 years old.
I go to Bar Lev School and my favorite subjects are English and French, because I love to learn some new languages. Actually, I hate Math. but you know, it's an imprtant subject and I have to learn it. When I'm not in school I usually watch TV and mostly listen to a lot of music. My favorite artists are Eminem, Jesse McCartney and David Archuleta (if you watch American Idol you probably know him). Who are your favorite artists?

Dear Sophie.
I want to tell you about my school -"Bar Lev".
I learn in junior high.
I'm 8'th grade student.

In my school I learn a lot of subjects:
English, Geography, Hebrew lessons, Math,Gym class, Literature, Science, French (other students chose to learn Arabic), Bible and History.
My favourite subject is English, My least favourite subject is Geography.

My school begins every day at- 8:30.
It ends at 12:05 or 13:00 or 13:50.
We learn 6 day a week.
We aren't have lunch at school.
We have a few breaks, some of them are 5 minutes, others are 10 minutes and there are one big break- 20 minutes.

Our uniform is a t-shirt with the logo on the side.

Sometimes we have ceremonies,all the school is sitting together and watching students dancing, singing and talking about a holiday.

In Isreal, the maximum students in class is 40 students, in my class there are 40 students, no one can join our class.

Israel is a very small country,beside the Mediterranean Sea. It's the only jew's country in the world. I do allmost the same things with my friends like you do (movies, the beach and more..)
