Culture Sharing

"Placing culture at the heart of development policy constitutes an essential investment in the world's future and a pre-condition to successful globalization processes that take into account the principles of cultural diversity."UNESCO Portal

I am taking this opportunity to use this School Blog to  gain some experience in communicating in real life situations with different  schools . It is also great that the students can get a feel for other cultures mainly  by learning from  diversity. I would like the students to gain an appreciation for other cultures.
Teenagers ,from all over the world, are more than welcome to share information about their culture with us.
  •  Where are you from?(Add your flag)
  • What is the name of your school? What is your school website?
  • In what grade are you?How old are you?Are you a boy/girl?
  • How do people greet one another? shake hands? embrace or kiss? How do they leave one another?
  • Who in your culture do you admire the most?
  • What are you most proud of about your culture?
  • Why do you think culture is important?
  • If you could change one thing about your culture, what would it be?

25th April- National holiday in Portugal

Hi, from Portugal! Today is a national holiday in Portugal. Do you know why? Well, basically it is because Portugal lived for almost 50 years in a dictatorial regime. On 25th April 1974 there was a revolution called "Revolução dos cravos" and a group of militars took the command of Portugal. From then on, Portugal was able to have free elections... but many things have still to be achieved!! Have a nice weekend!
