Please pardon my long in writing to you .I couldn't write letter to you because the difficult transport and the bad weather.

My parents planned to stay at home to pass our 2008 Spring   Festival .However, we went to our granny's home several days before the Spring Festival .When we were ready to back home ,the heavy snow which never met stopped our plan . So we had to change our plan ,just stay at granny's home to pass the Spring Festival .You know my granny's home in a small village ,there is no TV,no computer .Because the bad weather ,no postman come to village ,so I couldn't  send  letter to you !

It is generally acknowledge that smoking is not good thing .The whole world are encourage people stop smoking ,and even we can see "No smoking" everywhere.

The reason is simple ,smoking is bad for people's health .I saw a questionnaire from TV,that questionnaire show that if people who inhale a packet of cigarette every day will has 10 time chances than common people to get lung cancer after 10 years .Is it terrible? 

However , most of the smokers ,they are have luky psychology ,feel maybe they are not the unluky guy who get the lung cancer .Some of them are propagandize the smoking 's "advatanges". In their opinion . Firstly, smoking can make people exciting when you tired ,so they inference that smoking is good for working and studying .Secondly , smoking is a personal right ,so other people can't stop they use this right anywhere,anytime.Thirdly,some people said smoking has a graceful bearing .It can boost a person's charm .They  said smoking is important to hold trade talks.

    Everything goes well.

     I want to tell you about my this holiday. You know that it snowed so heavily in this winter. Most of roads in south of China were stopped. My family planned to go to Beijing to have the Spring Festival, but because of the big snow we couldn't go anywhere just stayed at home. But I didn't feel pity. Because I liked staying at home with my parents and my sister. It is the most warmest thing.

   Before the Spring Festival, I helped my mother clean the house and prepare everything which would be used in the festival. After the festival we went to relatives to wish them have a good year. Also I got some money from my parents and relatives. There was an interesting thing that my father lead my sister and I to go to a small hill to have a picnic. It was really so relax. We spent a nice day.

Q1:How will the one-child policy affect the future of china....(in 20 years ,in 50 years)?

One-child policy is the very useful and wise measure taken by the chinese goverment . It controls effectively  chinese population sharply  increasing .To a country, if there are too many people, it's not good at developing economy. For instance, most developed country's population is usually not very large, but most of the world's poorest countries  are in Africa which have large populations.

The one-child policy make the rapid decrease in the birth rate, it has led to an increasing proportion of elderly people and an increase in the ratio between elderly parents and adult children. In China, the increasing number of couples will be solely responsible for the care of one child and four parents. The policy can control the population but it difficulty to find the big family just the nuclear family. The child maybe feels lonely, because the parents are busy with their career, not enough time to accompany their children. The elderly are face to their pension. The pension coverage is available only to those employed in the government sector and companies, has led to large burden for employees. They must pay taxes for the government. In the future, I hope the government can relax restrictions.The emergence of the population structural contradiction changed the regional childbirth policy. It is reported that Shanghai municipal government has abolished the double material rewards to the couple who does not bear child and ease the conditions for the one who wants to have a second child.

   In 1960s, population increased dramatically. In order to restrict the birthrate, our Government established the“one child policy", which prescribes that one child in one family. Since the “one child policy” spread inChina, the large population has been controlled effectively. To some extent, it saves the precious sources, like water, coal, land, and it also lessens the financial burden for our country. Additionally, it provides lots of job opportunities for people.

     Nowadays, many young couples would like to be DINK; (couples that don't want children). They don't want children to restrict their freedom, nor do they want to take responsibility in matters such as energy, and money for their next generation, so  they can concentrate on their careers.

With almost 25 years one-child policy, China's population reduce dramatically, and if the goverment do not make this policy, popultion will increase more 200 million than now! If it happen, that is a terrible situation.

One-child policy is a kind of regulation which means only allow one family must has one child, and the goverment control the number of each families. Account of this policy, it is effectially to limit the population, and it is also a important reason that make China so strong. Now in China, somewhere have already change the policy  cause of more and more people do not want the children in this morden society. In that area, it lack of people to work and too many citizen senior that make the society paid heavy price to feed them.

As a result our modern day cities face a number of serious problems which are due to overcrowding. The twentieth century witnesses a major increase in the population in this world. Thus governments educate people to limit the size of their family. Take the China for example, as we noticed that China has approximately 1.3 billion people. That is reason why Chinese enforce the 'one-child policy'.There are also some other reasons for why people do not want more children.  The women now concerned more in their own business, so they don’t want to marry early or produce more children.

One of the most challenging problems of today's socity is the question of smoking. Smoking is a personal hobit, and as tobacco as a pillar industy, to fundamentally elimiate the sale of tabacco is unrealistic. But smoking in public places have been immoral, and we should ban smoking in public places. As we know, smoking is harmful not only to our health but alsoto the environment and health to others. Smoking can lead to many diseases, such as lung cancer.

First, in public places, the harm of smoking is greater. This is connerted with another effect of smoking. That is, smoking pollutes the environment by giving out much poisonous into the air. Therefore, that the goverment ban smoking is very necessary and important to us. It is a measure to protect pur health and environment. So many people, especially nonsmokers are for the policy.
