One Child Policy

In 1960s, population increased dramatically. In order to restrict the birthrate, our Government established the“one child policy", which prescribes that one child in one family. Since the “one child policy spread inChina, the large population has been controlled effectively. To some extent, it saves the precious sources, like water, coal, land, and it also lessens the financial burden for our country. Additionally, it provides lots of job opportunities for people.

Nowadays, many young couples would like to be DINK; (couples that don't want children). They don't want children to restrict their freedom, nor do they want to take responsibility in matters such as energy, and money for their next generation, so  they can concentrate on their careers.
