The Reunion: Due BEFORE Sociology class on December 9

Answer the question below and reply to 2 other student's postings

When Mitch has his 'reunion' meeting with Morrie he asks himself the same question repeatedly, 'What happened to me?' Why is Mitch asking himself this question? What has 'happened' to him?

Mitch hasn't seen Morrie

Mitch hasn't seen Morrie since college. In college Mitch was a honest, kind kid who established a connection with Morrie.

Since then Mitch has become a cold, money-hungry man who just isn't as happy and nice as he used to be. Seeing Morrie reminds him of how he used to be. He feels bad and wants to become the person he used to be.

I agree with Mike.  This

I agree with Mike.  This reunion with Morrie has reminded Mitch of the person he used to be.  I think Mitch will realize he misses this person and will try and change back.

I hope that the connection

I hope that the connection that he had with Morrie will return again and the men will become friends again. Even though they lost contact, hopefully they will be able to restore it and Mitch will transform into the person he was.

I agree with Michael. Mitch

I agree with Michael. Mitch has changed from helpful to a greedy person. Through his meeting with Morrie, there is chance for Mitch to change back to the helpful person he was before.

I agree as well. I'm also happy that Morrie sees how me has chnaged, becase the fisrt step to chnaging back is to recognize that he's not the same kind of person anymore.

I agree with mike, he wishes he could go back and still be like his old self

i agree he does want to

i agree he does want to become the person he used to be and he can only do that with Morrie

I agree with Michael because

I agree with Michael because once Mitch sees Morrie, he realizes that he is a different person than what he used to be.  He has become greedy and forgot that in college he had a good relationship with his professor Morrie because he was a good student but now he has changed for the worse.  He knows that he has changed when he waits to greet Morrie because he is on the phone with his producer.  It seems that Mitch will want to change back to the way he used to be when he was younger.

Mitch was a friendly helpful

Mitch was a friendly helpful person in his college years. He even once decided not to work for money and join the Peace Corps. But after he left college he started working for money, believing money is the most important thing one needs in his or her life, giving no place for values such as love. Through questioning himself, Mitch is thinking about what he has done over his past years of life and  regreting for not realizing what he was doing.

I agree with Emmannuel.

I agree with Emmannuel.  After college Mitch changed a lot and I believe it was his reunion with Morrie that reminded him of who he used and made him question what had happened in the years since college.

I agree with Emmannuel in

I agree with Emmannuel in that he will regret what he has done.

i agree to he will regret

i agree to he will regret what he did

I agree with Emmanuel. Mitch

I agree with Emmanuel. Mitch has forgotten the things that should matter most to him. Money has corrupted his life, and seeing Morrie reminds him of who he used to be.

Mitch keeps asking "What

Mitch keeps asking "What happened to me?" because meeting with Morrie made him realized how much he is changed since college.  Mitch changed from a kind, friendly kid to a greedy selfish business man.  Morrie has reminded Mitch of the person he used to be.

I agree because Mitch has

I agree because Mitch has changed drastically since college, and I hope that later on in the novel he actually understands how much he has changed over the years and maybe he will try to change back to the way he was.

I agree with Nicole because

I agree with Nicole because Morrie really has a strong impact on Mitch. Hopefully Morrie will influence Mitch to change back to the person he used to be.

i agree because after

i agree because after mitch's reunion with morrie, mitch realizes how much he changed since then and misses it and wants to change back

I agree with Nicole. What

I agree with Nicole. What Mitch is now is not the person who has been in his college years. Seems like Mitch regrets for his wrong doings.

i agree because he has

i agree because he has changed alot since college and lost his friendship with morrie and now hopefully since he realized he has changed him and morrie will become friends again

I agree he sees the change

I agree he sees the change in himself as a negative, morrie brings back the memory of how he used to be and he wishes he was still like that

I agree with nicole and he

I agree with nicole and he has become greedy and selfish since college and he should go back to being nice and friendly.

Mitch is a changed person.

Mitch is a changed person. He knows that even his wife wants a family, but he doesn't want to be tied down because he is very ambitious and work-oriented. Hopefully, Morrie will remind him of the kid he used to be and inspire Mitch to reconnect with his old friends from college.

I agree with Elizabeth. I

I agree with Elizabeth. I believe Mitch is a changed person and that he is ambitious. I hope that Morrie will be able to inspire him and make him the person he was in college.

I agree, Mitch is a changed

I agree, Mitch is a changed man. Family and friends used to be the most important things to him, now it is money.

I agree with Elizabeth, I

I agree with Elizabeth, I didn't even think of his wife playing in to how he has changed but your right. He even says that some how she loves him despite his busy work schedule and he even seems almost indifferent towards her.

I agree with Liz. I am

I agree with Liz. I am routing for the fact that he chnages back to the better oerosn that he once was. The kind of person that would help other just becase. I dont like the fact he has become work obsessed and money obsessed. Hopefully he changes back.

He keeps asking this

He keeps asking this question because he changed since he was in college. He used to be a kind and honest person. Now he is a greedy business man. Having a meeting with Morrie makes him think of the person he used to be.

I agree with this statement

I agree with this statement because Mitch had not realized how much he had changed until he has this meeting with Morrie, and now that he has he does not like the person he has become.
